How To

To create your EPK we need the media assets:

Your music, CD cover, twenty good, high res photos, track listing, personnel, bio, reviews, press release, and where appropriate, video.

There are no processing changes if you send your digital media via the internet, or on a disc.

You can email files, or for faster, easier, transmission, use YouSendit.com. You Send it allows you to transmit a group of very large files at no cost.

Music files

We accept these audio formats: mp3, wav, aac, and wma.

If your files are not digitized, you can rip the music off a CD using iTunes, the Windows Media Player, or the free program, Audio Grabber.

Please indicate which tracks are to be featured, and the timing for the 30 to 45 second sound bytes that will be included in the EPK.

For example, if you would like the sound byte to be the first 45 seconds of a track, the timing would be: 0:00 – 0:45.

If you wanted just a particular segment, perhaps a solo, the timing would be: 3:29 – 4:04.

CD Cover, Photos

We accept these graphic formats: jpg, jpeg, gif, tiff, psd, png, pdf. Resolution should be 300 dpi or print format. Please note, most web graphics are 72 dpi. This is not appropriate for video.

Text (Personnel, bio, reviews, press release)

You can send your text as Word document in doc or docx format, as a text file, or in the body of an email.

Video

If you have existing performance or interview video, we can use it on the EPK. We accept these video formats: avi, mov, mp4, m4v, mpeg.

If your video is not digitized, we can do that for you. We accept video on VHS, Mini DV, High 8, DVD, and Betacam.

Please note: There is $75 hourly fee to digitize content.
